Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not on the list, please call the museum at (956) 548-9300.

Do adults have to pay too?

Yes, admission is $10 per person, including adults. Children under 12 months are free.

Can I leave and come back?

Yes, after you pay admission, you are welcome to leave the museum and come back anytime between 10:00am – 5:00pm on the same day. Please keep your original receipt available when you return to the museum.

Can I bring my lunch/ snacks/ formula or baby bottle?

We do not allow food or drinks inside the museum. We do allow parents to bring formula or bottles for infants.

Do you host birthday parties?

Yes! We would be happy to host your birthday party! Please click this link to book your party and check availability on our birthday party calendar.

Can I bring my stroller in? Is there stroller parking?

You are welcome to bring your stroller into the museum. If you would like you can park it next to our admissions desk or take it with you in to the museum.

Do you host field trips? How much are they per person?

Yes! Please call us to book your next field trip or visit this link to check availability and book it online.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes! We accept all major credit cards and payment transfer systems.

Do you have any times that are reduced entrance or free?

Currently, we provide a lucky pass program to schools in Cameron County and distribute free tickets throughout the districts.

Will my 6 year old enjoy the museum?

Yes! The Children’s Museum of Brownsville is designed specifically for children from birth to 8 years of age. However, older children and adults always enjoy the museum as well.
